AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EASTVALE,
CALIFORNIA, REPEALING THE CITY'S SINGLE-FAMILY RENTAL
REGISTRATION AND CRIME -FREE HOUSING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, on October 23, 2013, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 13-13
establishing a Single -Family Rental Registration and Crime -Free Housing Program (the
"Program").
WHEREAS, the Program places significant burdens on landlords and tenants, as well as
the City staff that implement the Program, and has not yielded noticeable improvements to the
safety of the community and quality of the rental housing stock in the City.
WHEREAS, repealing the Program will remove an unnecessary layer of regulation and free
up City resources to focus on efforts that better serve the community, and as such the City
Council desires to repeal the Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EASTVALE DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 110.32 of the Eastvale Municipal Code is hereby repealed in its
entirety.
